Scott Dellett, a Neptune City resident, is our residential pest control supervisor. He has been with Cowleys since 2005, starting here as a pest control technician, and working his way up through his consistent exemplary performance and his customer service skills. Prior to joining Cowleys, he worked as a pest control technician for another company and also held a variety of positions in the food service industry where he gained first-hand experience in the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation protocols in commercial kitchens. He is a life-long resident of the Jersey Shore area, and a graduate of the prestigious Marine Academy of Science and Technology at Sandy Hook.
If you ever met Scott, you would say that he is as clean and trustworthy as a Boy Scout, and that’s because he was one! Scott was an Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scout program. Only 4% of Boy Scouts are granted this rank after a lengthy review process, and includes earning at least 21 merit badges. Among this select group of motivated, civic-minded individuals include Steven Spielberg, astronaut Neil Armstrong, and our 38th President, Gerald R. Ford.
Scott is a licensed NJDEP commercial pest control applicator and, in addition to Core certification, holds two key Category certifications, 7A certification for general and household pest control, and 7B certification for termites and other wood-destroying insects. As our residential supervisor, Scott is responsible for maintaining Cowleys high quality control standards with all of our pest control technicians out in the field. He makes sure that all of the techs are ready and rearing to go for the day, conducts periodic employee quality inspections, and, on those rare occasions when there is a customer complaint, follows up and resolves the matter. Cowleys takes its goal of 100% client satisfaction seriously, and Scott makes sure that it is achieved. Although he is a supervisor, Scott is far from a “desk jockey.” He continues to work out in the field daily, handling a variety of residential calls as well as a number of our important commercial accounts. He is also one of our most experienced bed bug specialists.
During his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and sharing his love of golfing, camping, and the wonders of nature with his kids.
